Instant Pot Pav Bhaji Masala | Pav Bhaji Masala Recipe in Instant Pot
This is one pot recipe, making this recipe in instant pot never
fails.
Pav bhaji is a popular Indian street food, this vegetable masala can be
eaten with soft buns. Usually pav bhaji is served with a lot of of butter,
fresh chopped onions and lemon juice. Pav or buns toasted with butter and
eat with bhaji or vegetable mix.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 cups chopped onion
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 chopped tomato
- 1/2 cup chopped carrots
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 4 cups chopped potatoes
- 3/4 cup water
- salt
- chopped cilantro
- lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 2 tsp pav bhaji masala

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Turn on instant pot saute mode. When it is hot, add butter and cumin seeds.
- Add chopped onion and ginger garlic paste - Saute until onion turns into light brown.
- Add chopped tomato - saute for 2 minutes.
- Add chopped carrots, green peas and chopped potatoes. saute for a minute.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt and pav bhaji masala - quick stir.
- Add water - Close the lid with sealing position.
- Set high pressure for 7 minutes - cancel when it is done. Open the lid after natural pressure release.
- Mash it until smooth, add chopped cilantro and lemon juice - mix it well.
- Serve this bhaji masala with chopped cilantro, butter and chopped onion.
- Toast the bread/dinner rolls with butter or ghee. Toast them with more butter on both of the sides. Here I used Kings Hawaiian Bread.
NOTE:
- Here I used Instant Pot 6Qt DUO.
- You can use potatoes and your favorite choice of vegetables. You can use cauliflower, green beans, green peas, green peppers or carrots.
