INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup Moong dal / Yellow split gram
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 cup chopped Onion
- 3 Garlics
- 1 Cup Chopped Tomato
- 3 Serrano Pepper/ Green Chillies
- Curry leaves (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Cilantro chopped
- Powder:
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 or 2 tsp Red Chilli Pepper Powder
- Tadka/ Tempering:
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Urud dal / White Gram
- Hing / Asafotida little

STEPS:
- Clean and Soak the Yellow split gram for 10 minutes (optional)
- Turn on Instant Pot Saute mode
- Add Oil. Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds, urud dal, cumin, and Curry leaves.
- Add Chopped Onions, Garlics and Serrano Peppers, Saute for a minute
- Add Chopped Tomatoes, Saute for a minute.
- Add Salt, Turmeric Powder and Red Chilli Pepper Powder - Quick Stir
- Add cleaned and Soaked moong dal with 3 cups of water.
- Close the lid with the Sealing position, Cancel Saute Mode, Set manual High pressure 5 mins
- After NPR open the lid. Add water to adjust consistancy.
- Garnish with Cilantro
- Yummy Moong Dal Curry/ Yellow Split Gram Soup is ready.
